DoorDash Scandal, Canadian Tech Stocks, and Buzzfeed’s Struggles: Market Talks Update

In the latest edition of Market Talks covering Technology, Media and Telecom, we’ve got some juicy insight on all sorts of stuff. But let’s be honest, the only thing we’re really excited about is the DoorDosh scandal – we mean DoorDash, sorry.

Apparently, a bunch of their drivers were caught eating customers’ food before delivering it. We’re talking about pizza slices with bite marks, sushi rolls with missing pieces, and even a whole rotisserie chicken gone missing. Our thoughts and prayers go out to all those starving customers.

But don’t worry, DoorDash has assured us that they’re working on implementing some sort of food-tasting policy for their drivers. Because apparently common sense isn’t enough.

Moving on to Canadian tech stocks, we’ve got good news and bad news. The good news is that they’re doing great. The bad news is that we have no clue what they do. Something about software, maybe? All we know is that everyone’s throwing money at them and it’s working out, so feel free to invest your life savings blindly.

In other news, Buzzkill – sorry, Buzzfeed – has finally run out of ideas for their “27 Things Only 90s Kids Will Remember” articles. We’re not sure what’s more surprising – the fact that they managed to stretch the 90s nostalgia trend for this long, or the fact that people still read this stuff.

And last but not least, Thomson Reuters has announced they’re launching a new line of cheese and crackers. Just kidding, we have no idea what they’re up to. But seriously, who reads those business magazines anyway?

That’s it for this edition of Market Talks. Stay tuned for next week, where we’ll be discussing the riveting topic of office plants and how they affect workplace productivity. How exciting!
