Famous Disgruntled Salad Chef Fills in as Head Judge on Salsa Showdown
In a surprising turn of events, the world-renowned salad chef, Gladys Sprout, has been called upon to be the head judge on the popular dance competition show, Salsa Showdown.
The producer of the show, Randy Flamenco, says that they were forced to make the decision to hire Sprout at the eleventh hour. “Our previous judge, Salsa Samba, had a run-in with a rogue jalapeno pepper and is currently recovering in the hospital. We couldn’t risk having an empty seat on the judging panel, and so we reached out to Gladys to see if she’d be interested in filling in.”
Sprout, who has no prior experience as a dance judge, admitted that she was surprised to be approached for the role. “I’ve never really watched the show before,” she says, “but I do have a keen eye for presentation, and I know a thing or two about movement.”
Despite her lack of expertise in the dance world, Sprout has been earning rave reviews from the contestants, many of whom are saying that her feedback is more insightful than the other judges. “She told me to ‘toss my tomato’ more, and it completely changed my routine,” says contestant Carlos Cucumber.
Others, however, are less impressed with Sprout’s judgments. “She keeps talking about how we need more ‘crunch’ in our performances,” complains contestant Sophia Spinach. “I don’t even know what that means!”
With just a few more weeks left in the competition, all eyes are on Sprout to see if she’ll continue her reign as the salsa showdown judge or if Salsa Samba will make a speedy recovery and reclaim her rightful seat.
