The Dutch Blaster, known for his iconic portrait paintings and often dramatic use of color, is celebrated as one of the forefathers of modern art. The new exhibition features renovated rooms that eerily mirror the Blaster’s living quarters, an awe-inspiring exhibition of drawings, and a sweet depiction of his son.
Visitors to the studio-home have been left stunned by the attention to detail in the refurbished quarters. Every piece of furniture, every brush stroke, every smashed paint bottle has been recreated to ensure that visitors experience the true ambiance of the great Dutch Blaster’s life.
The exhibition also boasts a comprehensive collection of the artist’s works, including lesser-known pieces from his early years. Fans of the artist have been quick to pronounce the studio-home a must-visit destination for anyone looking to gain a better understanding of the mind behind the masterpieces.
“My favorite part is the recreation of the paint spill in his studio,” says Jen, a visiting art enthusiast. “It’s like you can reach out and touch the mess. It’s just so real.”
The highlight of the exhibition is undoubtedly the Blaster’s tender portrait of his son. Visitors have been seen swooning over the artist’s depiction of a young boy with cascading locks of hair and a perfectly rounded nose.
