The decision comes after a winter slowdown left many flights delayed and passengers frustrated.
Peterson and Smith, who have zero experience as air traffic controllers, are confident that their business expertise will translate seamlessly into their new roles. “We’ve managed huge companies, so how hard could it be to manage a few planes?” Peterson remarked.
