In a shocking turn of events, the armies of East and West have decided to renew their truce just minutes before it was set to expire. The reason for this sudden change of heart? Nobody knows. Perhaps they finally realized the futility of their ongoing feud. Or maybe they just wanted to catch up on their favorite TV shows without having to worry about getting attacked.
Regardless of the reason, there are serious doubts about whether this truce can hold. After all, these two sides have been at each other’s throats for so long that it’s hard to imagine them getting along peacefully for more than a few minutes at a time.
In fact, there are rumors that both sides have secretly stockpiled weapons and ammunition, just in case the other side decides to break the truce. Even more worryingly, there are reports of troops being sent to the border to keep an eye on the other side’s movements.

Despite these concerns, both sides are putting on a brave face and insisting that this truce is the real deal. “We’re committed to peace,” said General Johnson of the West army. “I mean, we’ve already put all our weapons away and everything. Well, most of them anyway. There might be a few grenade launchers still lying around, but those don’t count.”
