At least ten individuals were taken to local hospitals for treatment following a spectacular display of flying food at the Annual Crazytown Food Fight this past weekend.
According to eye-witnesses, this year’s event had reached peak hilarity when Mr. Pancake, a well-known local pastry chef, hurled a gigantic stack of flapjacks at his arch-rival Madame Waffle. The impact of the colossal pancake pile sent Madame Waffle crashing into a decorative tower of whipped cream, causing an unprecedented chain-reaction of chaos which left the entire crowd in stitches.
“I’ve never seen anything like it!” said attendee Dr. Cupcake, as he wiped whipped cream from his spectacles. “People were rolling on the floor, laughing so hard they could barely breathe! I even took a meatball to the noggin, but it was worth it for the story, you know?”
The sudden wave of side-splitting laughter led to crowd-wide cases of giggle paralysis, leaving many participants gasping for breath and needing medical attention. Professional rescuers were called in, remarkably managing to keep a straight face while attending to the increasingly helpless crowd.
