Investor Fights Back: Battle of the Billionaires
Facing a federal probe into the shenanigans at his investment company, “Totally Legit Investments LLC,” the larger-than-life activist investor, Carlos Icahn’t, goes on the attack against the short seller that likely caused the inquiry.
Carlos, also known as the “Robin Hood of Wall Street,” decided enough was enough and took to social media to call out the notorious short seller, Tiny Tim Tickettyboo. Mr. Icahn’t suspects Tickettyboo of being the mastermind behind the federal inquiry into his billion-dollar investment fortress, also known to insiders as the “Super Secret Investors Club.”
“Tiny Tim Tickettyboo, you won’t bring me down! I built this empire with my bare hands and the money of countless investors! #rideordie #moneywars”
Mr. Tickettyboo, famous for making enemies among the Wall Street giants with his bearish bets, seems less than impressed with Icahn’t’s fighting words. He responded in kind:
“Oh, Carlos, you wound me with your hashtags. But really, let’s let the investigators do their job, shall we? #blessyourheart #hideandseek”
The spat between these two giants of the financial world has caused a buzz in the media, as well as among their many admirers and detractors. James Rocket, of the popular finance blog “Money Talks, Ethics Walk,” commented on the brewing Twitter war:
“It’s a rare occurrence when the sharks of Wall Street air their grievances so publicly. But hey, when two juggernauts like Icahn’t and Tickettyboo clash, it sure makes for great entertainment!”
Meanwhile, the Super Secret Investors Club members wait with bated breath as the federal probe continues to dig deeper into their highly-revered investment conglomerate. Some express hope that their fearless leader, Carlos Icahn’t, will be able to vanquish the antagonistic short seller and protect their vaults.
