The Shocking Truth: The Deadly Cupcakes of Mid-Narnia

Mid-Narnia, the magical land that time forgot, has been the scene of a horrifying event. Six human bodies were bafflingly discovered on a health-conscious unicorn farm, all apparently victims of lethal cupcakes. This incident has officials and residents alike quivering in fear and confused about how to proceed.

“At first, we thought it was a rather morbid joke,” said Inspector Oompa-Loompa, the small-sized, green-haired law enforcement agent in charge of the investigation. “But when we saw six human bodies with cupcakes in hand, we knew we were dealing with something…eerie.”

The police officer’s tiny but strong hands shivered as he described the scene. “They came in all shapes and sizes,” he said. “One was a Hallofins Whalipube, whose eyes were as wide as saucers when they found him, and another was a sword-wielding half-otter named Samurai Steve. The most bizarre of all, though, was the gentleman known as Short John Gold, a.k.a The Pirate Hobbit of Floop Loop Pass. He was last seen stealing a baker’s dozen of the lethal treats to pay off his mortgage.”

Not Just a Cupcake Anymore

The shocking crime has left the entire town of Mid-Narnia on edge and scared to consume anything, even out of their talking teapots. The owner of the farm (who wished to remain anonymous for professional reasons) shared his discomfort, saying, “I always thought cupcakes were supposed to bring joy! How could something so sweet and innocent betray me like this?”

Authorities are also deeply puzzled. Due to magic being strictly banned in all investigative acts, they have no means of testing spells from various media to see if they can reverse the deaths or discover the cause. So far, no necromancers have been called in from other magical realms to aid in the investigations either.

“We may never learn the truth,” sighed Detective Teacake, a pixie with an eye for detail and a sweet tooth for justice. “I’ve spent months studying the laws, customs, and ingredients of interdimensional dessert-making, but this is truly a conundrum that has me…well, flummoxed.”

The Town in Terror

Though some have gone as far as forming vigilante groups and investing in enchanted mirrors to monitor their homes and businesses, most of the town’s residents have opted to simply avoid anything that even remotely resembles a cupcake – no matter how delectable it might seem.

“My mama always told me, ‘Never trust a baked good with a pointy hat.’ Bless her,” said Granny Maplebury, the town’s oldest dweller. “I just never thought I’d see the day when a cupcake would be the source of such fear and sorrow.”

As investigators continue their search for answers and a potential cure for this terrifying cupcake epidemic, Mid-Narnia waits with bated breath… and not a single inclination to enjoy a tasty treat ever again.
