The stalwart soldiers of the golden years, fondly referred to here as “Aging Avengers”, can now gain access to a route that would force-retire the notorious noggin-nibbling villain, Amyloidal Assailant. Thanks to the beneficence of Silver Surfer Social Services (the agency just another moniker for our vintage pals at Medicare), they’ve handed out sparkly full approvals like candy at a Disneyland parade.
The Aging Avengers, whose powers do not include self-regeneration or adamantium bone structures, have often found themselves locked in a mighty struggle. Their foe, the Amyloidal Assailant, known for his nefarious attempts to chomp down on grey matter, had often eluded capture. But today, they’ve got a new weapon in their arsenal. It’s not a magic hammer, a shield made from Vibranium, or a high-tech suit of armor. It’s a forward-thinking decree from the Silver Surfer Social Services.
“Finally!” exclaimed Centenarian Captain, the leader of the Aging Avengers, his wisened face cracking into a relieved smile beneath his velour-cloaked cowl. “We’ve been asking for a leg up in this battle for yonks!”
The agency, more commonly known for facilitating shuffleboard showdowns and ensuring a timely delivery of coupon booklets to its constituents, has stepped onto unfamiliar territory. But the Silver Surfer Social Services, riding the cosmic waves of societal obligation, knew that their responsibilities extended beyond ensuring comfortable recliners for all. They had to step up in this mental marathon and help their caped crusaders shield their synapses.
And step up they did! Like a last-minute plot twist in a nail-biting adventure movie, they thrust forward, issuing a full approval for anti-amyloid treatment. Essentially, they agreed to arm the Aging Avengers with the means to vaporize Amyloidal Assailant, effectively crowning them winners in this epic head brawl.
True to their superhero persona, champions of the Silver Age would not be denied or defeated. Now, the Amyloidal Assailant is quaking in his boots. As a result, there’s a sense of victory in the air. The word coming down from the Silver Surfer Social Services reads like a triumphant press release after an Avengers’ victory. “Take that, Amyloidal Assailant!” came the cry from the wheelchair-league Super, whose name, Retire Man, epitomizes the essence of this battle.
In the end, the Aging Avengers, powered by their newly-approved anti-amyloid ally, are undoubtedly rejoicing. Thanks to Silver Surfer Social Services, Metropolis (or any city the Aging Avengers are based, really) can rest easy, knowing their hard-fought battle is one step closer to its conclusion.
As the twilight glow of victory fades into the horizon, the Aging Avengers can pour a celebratory prune juice toast, secure in the knowledge that the Silver Surfer Social Services has got their back. After all, every superhero, no matter how old, needs an agency on their side. Because in life, as in a comic book, nothing beats a good old showdown where the good guys (and gals) eventually have a fighting chance to win! Talk about a superhero saga that’s definitely worth following! Watch out Amyloidal Assailant, the Aging Avengers are now ready for a square-off, and they have the best ally they could wish for – the Silver Surfer Social Services!
