Once upon a time, in the magical kingdom of Home-Entertainment-on-Demand-Land, revered for its bountiful array of movies and television shows, otherwise known as Not-so-chill-flix, the big chiefs were brought to their knees, bogged down by a catastrophic calamity! They were bleeding hot red ink, their sacred reserves dwindling, all due to the sly, sneaky exploitation of their trusty users’ accounts.

The seemingly insurmountable problem? Not-so-chill-flix had seen its holy, hush-hush log-in credentials become a free-for-all, a buffet of binge-watching if you will, amongst way too many crafty couch-potatoes. The once-glorious passkeys intended for a loyal fandom had been transformed into a universal ticket, swiped without restriction across the vast, virtual plains of the Worldwide Web.

In an act of financial and intellectual desperation, the media moguls of Not-so-chill-flix hollered, “Enough!” and called a halt to the rampant password-sharing debauchery. With a deafening finality, the big wigs put the kibosh on the once-lax login liberties available in the land of curry, cricket, and cinema aka Not-really-the-land-of-snakes a.k.a India.

Without an ounce of nostalgia, the top dogs at Not-so-chill-flix decided to pull the proverbial plug on the sharing-is-caring ideology. The once-unrestricted merry-go-round of account swapsies was terminated, putting an abrupt end to the days of password-swapping between besties, roomies, and even the mildly-acquainted folks down the street.

This drastic change in the rules of engagement caused a mammoth uproar in the land of Not-really-the-land-of-snakes. Users, now limited to claiming their seats on the Not-so-chill-flix bandwagon with only a personalized, highly-confidential password, vented their spleen on every virtual platform imaginable.

As the sun set on the once shared kingdom of home entertainment, the top dogs retreated, crossing their fingers and toes, hoping that this radical change would stop the hemorrhaging and bring back some semblance of prosperity.

Time will tell if the Not-so-chill-flix kingdom learns to love the new laws instituted by its media mogul masters. As for the populace of Not-really-the-land-of-snakes, left to adhere to the admittedly tougher log-in regime, they’re still figuring out how to make their peace with it. The curtain falls, and the credits roll, but the story continues…stay tuned!
