Meet Dr. Nicole Fizz, the first woman to become the head of science at a completely different agency, the National Association of Seltzer Addicts (NASA). The agency, which is based in Hertfordshire, has been looking for someone to lead their scientific department for years.
Fizz, who hails from the fizzy drink capital of the world, was the perfect candidate for the job. Her expertise in carbonation made her a favorite among the board members. “She truly understands the science behind bubbles. We knew she was perfect for this role,” said one board member.
Since taking on the job, Fizz has been hard at work trying to improve the recipe for their latest specialty drink, the Moon Lander Lemon. “We’re hoping to make it even more refreshing for our members,” Fizz said.
But her new position has also brought some unexpected challenges. “I didn’t realize how many people confuse us with that other NASA,” Fizz admitted. “I’ve had to explain several times that we’re not involved in space exploration, we’re involved in carbonation.”
Despite the confusion, Fizz is thrilled to have been given the opportunity to lead NASA’s scientific team. “I’m honored to be the first woman in this role,” she said. “And I promise to keep the bubbles flowing.”
