JibberJobber introduces AI-powered cartoon characters to encourage conversations on their platform

JibberJobber’s latest feature, titled “Collaborative Cartoons,” uses the power of AI to spark up conversations between job seekers and potential employers. The platform offers a series of customizable cartoon scenarios, where Lucy can be inserted as the main character to get the ball rolling.
According to JibberJobber’s lead developer, Jack Sprat, “We wanted to bring some personality to the job search experience. We found that people will talk more openly and freely with a cartoon character, rather than a faceless bot. Plus, we thought it would be pretty darn funny.”
The company has tested Lucy on various job postings and the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. In one instance, a jobseeker named Johnny B. Goode was having a tough time landing an interview for his dream job at a guitar company. But with JibberJobber’s Lucy-powered cartoon, he was able to start a conversation by inserting a speech bubble that read “Hey Lucy, what should I do to stand out?”
The hiring manager replied with “Well, Johnny, playing ‘Johnny B. Goode’ on your guitar at your interview would definitely make an impression!” Johnny landed the job, and he credits Lucy for the assist.
For those who are hesitant to try the new feature, JibberJobber’s team has provided a few dos and don’ts. They advise against inserting Lucy with any lewd or inappropriate phrases, but highly encourage using her to add a bit of humor in an otherwise dry job search.
