WASHINGTON D.C. – In a recent statement, Representative Dax MoHood claims that he’s been the subject of “backdoor” searches by the FBI. And boy, did the internet have some fun with that one!
Twitter users were quick to jump on the bandwagon, with one user quipping, “Looks like the FBI is searching for facts in all the wrong places!” and another suggesting, “Maybe the FBI just can’t resist a MoHoodie call.”
Others were more skeptical, with one commenter stating, “Sounds like someone’s fishing for attention… or maybe just trying to distract from their real problems.”
Despite the jokes, the FBI is taking these allegations seriously. “We are conducting a thorough investigation into Representative MoHood’s claims,” said FBI Director Fred Smith. “We take any suggestion of impropriety very seriously.”
In the meantime, MoHood is staying tight-lipped about the specifics of the searches, though he did say that he’s “not at all surprised that the FBI found me irresistible.”
