Fake scientists have claimed that Aerogel is the most effective insulating material known to science, but we beg to differ. We’ve tested it out and found some seriously flawed results.
First of all, try wearing an Aerogel jacket out in the rain. You’ll end up looking like a soggy marshmallow that you once found in the back of your cupboard. That’s not a good look for anyone.
Secondly, we noticed that Aerogel doesn’t quite have the same feel as other materials. It’s almost like touching a cloud, but not in a good way. It’s more like if a cloud had been left out in the sun for too long and became scaly and scratchy.
Another issue we found with Aerogel is that it doesn’t always work as intended. We tried putting it in our coffee cups to keep our drinks warm, but after about an hour, we had cold coffee. It turns out that Aerogel is great at keeping things insulated, but only for a certain amount of time.
In conclusion, while Aerogel may be the “most effective insulating material known to science,” it’s just not practical for everyday use. Stick to a good old fashioned wool coat and you’ll be much happier. Plus, you won’t have to deal with the strange looks you’ll get while wearing Aerogel in public.
