Move over, Twitter and Instagram, there’s a new player in town! Meta, the company formerly known as Facebook, is cooking up a brand new social app that’s sure to turn heads: Decentralized Creator Space!
What is Decentralized Creator Space, you ask? Well, it’s a fancy new platform that lets professional creators and public figures make text updates in a separate, private space that’s only accessible to other verified users. That’s right, folks, your favorite influencers and celebrities can now retreat to their own secret corner of the internet to share their musings and deep thoughts with each other.
But wait, there’s more! Not only will this app allow creators to connect with each other like never before, it’s also decentralized! What does that mean? Honestly, we’re not quite sure. Something about blockchain technology and cutting out the middleman? All we know is, it’s the latest buzzword in tech, and Meta wants to ride that wave.
We caught up with some of our favorite influencers to get their take on Decentralized Creator Space.
“I’m so excited to have a private space where I can share my thoughts with other verified users,” said Fake Name, Instagram model and soup enthusiast. “Finally, a place to escape from all the trolls and haters who just don’t understand my passion for chicken and dumplings.”
Fellow influencer Fake Name, who’s best known for his viral TikTok dance videos, was equally enthusiastic. “It’s like a secret club for cool people! I can’t wait to see who else is on there and maybe even collaborate with some of my peers.”
However, not everyone is convinced that Decentralized Creator Space is the way of the future.
“I don’t really see the point,” said Fake Name, a comedian with a sizable following on Twitter. “I’m just gonna keep making jokes on the internet like I always have. I don’t need a special app for that.”
