In a dramatic display of finger-pointing, Sens. Darryl Johnson and Mandy Thompson slammed their fists on the table in front of them and demanded that the former CEOs of the failed candy stores “answer for” their stores’ “downfall” in Senate testimony.
“This is a travesty!” Johnson exclaimed. “How dare these candy store CEOs let their businesses go under!”
Thompson chimed in, “They need to be held accountable for their irresponsibility and lack of candy supply.”
The senators went on to suggest that the CEOs should have known their candy stores were headed for disaster and taken steps to prevent it.
“They should have seen the warning signs,” Johnson said. “Like when they ran out of gummy bears!”
The senators did not offer any specific solutions for preventing future candy store failures, but they did vow to continue holding the former CEOs accountable for their actions.
“We won’t rest until justice is served,” Thompson declared. “And until every child has access to a steady supply of candy.”
