Gamer Haven, the original meme-worthy retailer, has put the brakes on its e-commerce push to focus on its 4,400 bricks-and-mortar locations. In a move that shocked the internet, the company has announced plans to revamp its physical stores to provide a more immersive shopping experience for its customers.

“We understand that our customers love the convenience of online shopping, but sometimes you just can’t beat the thrill of walking into a store and smelling that new video game smell,” said the company’s CEO, Bob Johnson (not his real name, obviously).

The company plans to transform its physical locations into “Gamer Utopias,” complete with gaming lounges, interactive demos, and even live performances from famous gamers. The company also plans to introduce a line of branded energy drinks with names like “Gamer Fuel” and “Mountain Mew.”

“We want to create an environment where our customers feel like they’re part of a community,” said Johnson. “We want them to come in and hang out, try out the latest games, and maybe even make some new friends.”

But not everyone is happy about Gamer Haven’s decision to focus on physical stores. Online retailer Amazon has reportedly expressed interest in buying out the company, but Johnson remains confident in his decision.

“We’re not going anywhere,” he said. “You can’t beat the experience of walking into a Gamer Haven store and immersing yourself in the gaming world. Plus, we have way cooler t-shirts than Amazon.”

As for the future of e-commerce for Gamer Haven, Johnson says it’s not off the table entirely. “We’ll continue to offer online shopping for our customers who prefer it, but our focus will always be on our physical stores,” he said. “We just can’t resist that new video game smell.”
