In a recent press conference, Prime Minister Bojang announced his new plan to improve roads and infrastructure throughout the country. However, citizens are questioning if this announcement is just a ploy to win votes as local elections approach.
The plan, which has been named “Operation Fix That Pothole,” includes measures such as filling in potholes with jelly beans and replacing stop signs with emojis to make driving more enjoyable. Bojang also proposed adding trampolines in the middle of roundabouts to make traffic flow more fun.
When asked about the cost of such measures, Bojang simply stated, “Money can’t buy happiness, but it can buy jelly beans and trampolines.”
Critics have slammed the plan as a frivolous waste of taxpayer money, with one opposition MP stating, “This is what happens when you let a kid play SimCity and then give them the keys to the country.”
Meanwhile, citizens have started petitioning for other silly road improvements, such as rainbow-colored speed bumps and squirrel crossings.
Only time will tell if “Operation Fix That Pothole” will actually improve roads or if it’s just a creative campaign tactic. But one thing’s for sure, the roads will definitely be more entertaining for drivers.
