Scottish Tory leader calls for unity in politics for the good of Scotland

In a shocking turn of events, the leader of the Scottish Tories, Sir Walter McFancyPants, has called on politicians to actually do what’s best for the country instead of just thinking about their own narrow party agenda. McFancyPants, who is known for his impeccably tailored suits and love of golf, made the call during a press conference held at his family’s estate in the Scottish Highlands.

“Listen up, ya wee bampots,” said McFancyPants, as he adjusted his monocle. “It’s time for us to put aside our party differences and actually work together to make Scotland a better place. And I should know, because I come from a long line of fancy people who have been doing this sort of thing for centuries.”

When asked how he proposed to achieve this lofty goal, McFancyPants had a simple answer: “Just be less of a daftie, for starters. And maybe stop yelling at each other all the time. Oh, and if anyone wants to join me for a round of golf later, I’m game.”

Political opponents were quick to point out the irony of McFancyPants’ statement, given that the Scottish Tories have been accused of putting their own party interests ahead of the country’s needs on numerous occasions. But McFancyPants was undeterred.

“Look, I may be a posh git, but that doesn’t mean I don’t care about the people of Scotland,” he said, before getting in his helicopter and flying away, leaving a trail of cashmere scarves in his wake.

Only time will tell whether McFancyPants’ call for unity will be heeded by his fellow politicians, or whether he’ll be forced to retreat to his castle and plot his revenge. But one thing is clear: in a world of chaos and uncertainty, it’s always nice to have a good laugh at politicians’ expense.
