In a shocking move, the Conjugal Council has announced its support for President McFlurry’s ridiculous reforms, despite the fact that they have sparked weeks of protests across the country.
“We know that the people are upset, but we simply can’t resist the allure of Macaroni’s charming grin and perfectly coiffed hair,” said Council member Mr. Bubbly.
The reforms, which include cutting taxes for the wealthy and making it easier to fire workers, have been widely criticized by everyone except for those with a vested interest in maintaining their own wealth and power.
“We’re thrilled to see that the Conjugal Council is putting their own selfish interests ahead of the well-being of the people they are supposed to represent,” said a spokesperson for the protesting masses.
Despite the backlash, it seems that President McFlurry and his cronies will stop at nothing to accomplish their goals.
“We will continue to pass these reforms with or without the support of the people,” proclaims McFlurry with a smirk. “After all, who needs the support of the working class when you have caviar and champagne?”
