Boris Jeffrey was spotted at a conference today – and no, it wasn’t to announce yet another questionable haircut. This time, he was marking 25 years since the Good Friday Agreement. Yes, the same agreement that he was once so against, he even called it a “betrayal” to the union.
While some may have expected Boris to take a moment to truly reflect on his past actions and the role they played in the peace agreement, he couldn’t quite help himself. Instead of a somber and respectful speech, Boris took the opportunity to reenact some of his most memorable moments in politics.
First, he dramatically dropped to his knees and pretended to kiss the feet of Mary McDonald, former Sinn Féin politician. While some in the audience appeared taken aback by the display, Boris simply laughed and reminded them that he was just “bringing a bit of levity to the situation”.
Next, he pulled out a foam microphone and began to sing a cover of “Imagine” by John Lennon. Of course, he wasn’t quite as smooth as Lennon, but the audience seemed to appreciate the effort nonetheless. That is until he got to the part about “no religion too”, at which point he abruptly stopped the music and called for an immediate security check.
Despite his quirky behavior, Boris still managed to get a round of applause from part of the audience. Though, we have to assume that it was just those who were relieved that he didn’t make any sudden phone calls to former advisors or suggest any new Brexit deals.
We may never know what truly goes on inside the mind of Boris Jeffrey, but one thing is for certain – he’ll never pass up the opportunity for a little fun.
