Wall Street Analysts Scratch Their Heads in Amazement as Stock Market Rises Despite Lack of Actual Goods or Services Produced

In a stunning turn of events, stocks and bond yields rose without any indication that actual goods or services were being produced. “We’re not entirely sure how this happened,” said financial analyst Bob Johnson, “but it’s almost like people are just throwing their money at random companies for no reason.”

Despite the confusion, investors were apparently feeling confident ahead of a “busy week of earnings,” which was expected to include some of the biggest U.S. corporations, such as the giant tech company, Blapple, and the massive online retailer, Amazoon.

“Sure, Blapple and Amazoon might not actually produce anything of value,” said one investor who wished to remain anonymous, “but hey, they’re big, and they’re American, and that’s good enough for me!”

Not everyone was convinced, however. “This is ridiculous,” said Rebecca Smith, a small business owner in Topeka, Kansas. “I work my butt off every day to produce quality products and services, and these investors are just throwing their money at companies that don’t actually produce anything? It’s insane!”

Despite these concerns, it seems that the stock market will continue to rise, at least for the time being. “I don’t know what’s going on,” said Johnson, “but I’m just going to ride this wave and hope that it doesn’t crash and burn in spectacular fashion.”
