A new bill has been proposed by Congressman Bob McBobberson to kickstart negotiations with the Democrats in the Senate and the White House over the regulation of stablecoins. The congressman hopes that this will finally settle the issue on whether stablecoins should be seen as an actual currency or just a funky form of Monopoly money.
The bill suggests that all stablecoins must now include a disclaimer that they are not to be used as actual currency, but strictly for board game purposes only. To ensure that this rule is followed, a government agency will be established to raid people’s homes and inspect the use of stablecoins in their board games.
The bill has also caused quite a stir among board game enthusiasts, who fear that this could lead to the end of Monopoly as we know it. “Without stablecoins, how are we supposed to pay rent or buy properties?” cried a dismayed Jerry Jingleson, a notorious Monopoly player. “This will ruin the game for everyone!” he exclaimed.
Meanwhile, Senator Joe Shmoe has already voiced his opposition to the bill, stating that it goes against the Constitution’s right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of property. He suggests that instead of banning stablecoins in board games, the government should focus on regulating actual cryptocurrencies, which have been known to cause more harm than good.
