The Scottish National Party (SNP) has finally found new auditors after more than six months of searching, following the abrupt departure of their previous firm, BDO Scotland.
“It’s been quite the challenge finding a new firm willing to take us on,” said Nicola, the SNP’s leader. “But we’re thrilled to announce that we’ve appointed a talented team from Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy.”
The new team, known as the “Improbability Squadron,” boast an impressive track record of auditing some of the most unusual and unpredictable organizations in the galaxy.
“We’re extremely excited to take on this new challenge,” said Zaphod, a spokesperson for the Improbability Squadron. “We’ve audited some pretty bizarre entities in our time, but auditing a political party known for their love of kilts and bagpipes is definitely a first for us.”
When asked how they plan to approach the audit, Zaphod provided some insight into their unique methodology.
“We like to keep things interesting,” he explained. “For example, instead of just analyzing financial statements, we might use our Infinite Improbability Drive to randomly warp into different dimensions and see how that affects the SNP’s cash flow.”
While some may express skepticism about this unconventional approach, the SNP seems to have full confidence in their new auditors.
“We’re always pushing boundaries and exploring new frontiers,” said Nicola. “Who knows, maybe this will lead to some groundbreaking discoveries in political finance!”
