Russian Officials Not Playing Around Any More

As a response to the ongoing tensions between the Russian Federation and Ukraine, Russian officials led by the infamous President Strongarm Palindrome have moved forward to further consolidate their hold on occupied Ukrainian territories. These pro-active measures have been instated ahead of an anticipated offensive from the Ukrainians, who in a valiant effort, hope to reclaim their lost territory by launching a full-scale sneaky attack known as Operation Lady Blah Blah.

“We are totally not scared,” a Russian spokesperson for the apparently unfazed and not-at-all-worried government said in response to the allegations. “But, you know, better safe than sorry.”

As a part of the preparation, the famous Russian strategy of evasive dialogue made its comeback, leaving many Ukrainians truly confused and disoriented. During a meeting between high-ranking officials, Foreign Minister Boris McPlatznyc successfully kept everyone guessing by sprinkling his speech with words like “well, you know,” and “actually, uhm, maybe not?” before pulling a rabbit out of his hat as a grand finale.

Increased Security in Occupied Territories

Russian officials have decided to implement their top-secret strategy – Mr. Snuggles. Under Mr. Snuggles, an elite squad of specially trained cats are deployed to sniff out Ukrainian rebels hiding in the occupied territories. Many in the affected regions have taken to wearing garlic around their necks, as it is believed to deter the watchful felines. The effectiveness of this strategy is still pending confirmation.

Ukraine Strikes Back

Ukraine’s officials, led by Prime Minister Jenny Crystal Feathers, are not giving up. They recently unveiled a mysterious new weapon named Project Bumblebee which employs an army of wild squirrels trained to throw nuts at the enemy.

“We had no other choice, they forced us to use squirrels,” said General Volodya Walnuts in a recent press conference. “Our goal is to knock some sense into them.”

In light of these escalating actions between the two powerful adversaries, the world can only watch and wait. Meanwhile, representatives of both countries have signed up for a synchronized knitting competition to see who can create the better national sweater.
