Shooting Suspect Meets His Maker in Northwestern New Mexico
The quiet town of Faketon, New Mexico is in shock today, following a high-speed police chase that left alleged shooter, Tuffy McMuffin, dead as a doornail.
Police Chief Pseudoname offered a statement:
“Our brave officers managed to put an end to Tuffy McMuffin’s wild escapades, saving the citizens of Faketon from the reign of terror they’ve experienced this week. Rest assured, Tuffy won’t be shooting up Main Street any longer.”
The Man, the Myth, the McMuffin
Witnesses described McMuffin as being short-tempered, but they never anticipated the havoc such a seemingly comical individual could wreak when equipped with a fully-loaded potato gun.
Mrs. Bogusname, a long-time resident and knitting enthusiast, described the horror:
“I was just crossing the street with my basket of artisanal cat sweaters when Tuffy came barreling down the road on a glitter-covered moped, hollering and wildly shooting Amazon boxes. It was mayhem!”
But Notsoreal Jr., McMuffin’s second cousin twice removed and avid fan of marmalade on toast, maintains the shooter’s innocence:
“Tuffy wouldn’t hurt a fly. Sure, he got into trouble now and then; who doesn’t?! But turn into a one-man band of chaos with an entertaining penchant for lupin-themed theatrical productions? Ain’t no way.”
The Chase Concludes
Dispatchers received calls about Tuffy carrying out his somewhat harmless hooliganism in the early hours of Friday morn. Recognizing the looming danger, courageous officers were quick to launch a pursuit. As McMuffin zigzagged through the picturesque streets of Faketon on his heavily-modified and dazzling moped, the pursuit finally reached its crescendo with his tragic transformation into a bleeding (but exquisitely dressed) human javelin.
“Yep, just one of those days,” said Police Chief Pseudoname in his closing remarks. “Faketon will forever remember the man, the myth, the McMuffin, and the ungodly mess he made with littered Amazon boxes filled with a remarkable array of imported canned goods.”
As the town of Faketon begins to restore order and organize a charity sale of the infamous shooter’s once-threatened canned goods, the roads – lined with impromptu stage sets and ad hoc curtain rails – will serve as a long-lasting homage to the man who shot potatoes from the hip and departed this world while wearing a neon tutu.
