Discord just announced their latest update, and it looks like they’ve been taking some inspiration from ChatGPT! The popular chat app has added some new features to their bot, including AI-generated conversation summaries.
The new feature, which they’ve named “DiscordGPT,” promises to revolutionize group chats by providing quick and easy summaries of what was discussed. No longer will you have to scroll through hours of conversations to find that one important message. Now you can just ask Discord to give you a summary, and you’ll get all the highlights in just a few seconds.
But the best part? DiscordGPT is so accurate, it’s almost like having a human summary writer on standby. According to Discord’s press release, the AI is “able to capture the essence of any conversation, from the serious to the ridiculous.”
So, just for fun, we decided to put DiscordGPT to the test. We gathered a group of our favorite fake names and got them chatting about random topics. After an hour or so of discussion, we asked Discord to give us a summary. Here’s what we got:
