Introducing the “Thundery 18” – A Comedy Parody of Ford’s Pickup Recall!
In a shocking turn of events, automobile manufacturer, “Furd”, has announced the recall of 18 F-150 “Lightning” pickups. Apparently, these trucks have been identified with a battery cell defect that caused a truck to, wait for it…catch fire!
As per the company, the “Thundery 18” were seen standing out from the other pickups, what with their gloriously illuminated exterior, flashing sparks, and an occasional burst of smokescreen. It turns out that their cool electric bells and whistles came with an added extra – a little bit of spontaneous combustion!
“This was not the kind of ‘Lightning’ we wanted to see from our trucks,” said Furd’s spokesperson, Miss Bevvy Laughs. “We’re sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused to our customers, but hey, in the words of Miley Cyrus, life is a climb, but the views are great!” she added, giggling.
The recall has left Furd owners facing an unprecedented problem – how to live life without a pickup. Community leaders have issued a statement advising owners to remain calm, and for once, to embrace the opportunity to walk, use a bike or even make use of public transport. “We understand this recall may seem scary, but it’s a great opportunity for owners to switch to a more eco-friendly lifestyle,” said the neighbourhood association rep, Ms. Giggles McMuffin.
The Furd engineering team is working round the clock to get the issue sorted, and Team Management has called upon the services of Karl Vordergeist, the recipient of the 2018 Nobel prize for “Uncovering the secrets of battery explosions”. Furd has promised its customers that their safety and convenience are its top priorities, and is tirelessly working towards a solution.
But in the meantime, the Thundery 18 might just have made their mark in history – as the most electrifying pickups ever made!
