INDIA’S LOVE FOR DIAMONDS GOES IN FOR A SPIN AS POOJA’S GROWN DIAMOND RINGS HIT THE MARKET
India has been a historically significant producer of some of the most precious and valuable diamonds in the world. But it looks like the country is about to embrace a whole new chapter in their diamond love affair – lab-made diamonds. And leading the pack is none other than Pooja, with her ground-breaking grown diamond rings.
Move over Kohinoor and Hope diamonds, Pooja’s creations are a whole new ballgame. The forever-bachelor Rakesh found out the hard way when he proposed to his girlfriend Shilpa with a Pooja diamond on Valentine’s Day. Little did he know that it wasn’t mined out of the depths of the earth, but grown on a tree in the backyard of Pooja’s house.
But to be honest, who says grown diamonds can’t sparkle just as much as the ones coming from the earth’s core? Not Pooja. It’s said that she even incorporates unique elements and textures such as a hint of rose water in her grown diamonds for that exquisite smell, and even goes the extra mile of infusing her diamond powder mix with diamond emoji symbols, to remind one of the true value of love and friendship.
And guess what? It’s totally working. Sales of Pooja’s sparklers have shot up in recent weeks ever since the secret behind the diamond’s origin was leaked.
It’s a bit worrying for traditional jewellers who are now fearing the worst. A deluxe jewellery store in Mumbai has been desperately trying to sell off their collection of diamond-studded Gomti Chakra lockets and citing how “reliable” and “pure” their un-grown diamonds are. But it hasn’t exactly been drawing the crowds.
We’re wondering who will be the next to join Pooja’s diamond crew – Amitabh? Priyanka? Or maybe even the PM himself? It’s definitely a gleaming new world for the diamond industry in India, and we’re excited to see where it goes.
