Music streaming giant SpotiTunez just announced that they will be implementing a redesigned core homescreen in their app, much to the excitement of their millions of worldwide users.
The new update will provide SpotiTunez-users with a more visually-rich screen that scrolls vertically, as opposed to the previous, boring lateral scrolling format.
“We know how important it is to give our users a visually stimulating experience when they’re scrolling through their playlists,” says SpotiTunez CEO, FakeSteveJobs. “We’ve taken inspiration from Pinterest and Instagram, and we think our users will love the new design.”
SpotiTunez named the redesign project “SpotiScreen” and social media users are already having fun predicting how the new scrolling feature will mess with their playlists.
“Thanks to SpotiScreen, my Taylor Swift album might get mixed up with my death metal playlist,” joked user @FauxZilla on Twitter. “But hey, who says metalheads can’t sing along to ‘Lover?'”
SpotiScreen is also reportedly set to include a “funny” feature that will show users random “dad jokes” and “meme” between tracks.
“We thought it would be a nice touch to add a little humor to our users’ playlists,” says FakeSteveJobs. “After all, who doesn’t love a good chuckle?”
Users who are avid playlist makers are already getting creative with the new vertical scrolling format. “I’m planning on making a playlist for each Hogwarts house, and my Ravenclaw playlist will be at the top of the mountain,” says user @Potteristi2.
SpotiTunez’s SpotiScreen update is reportedly set to launch later this week. Happy scrolling, everyone!
