Sputnik, the Russian music streaming service, announced today that it will be introducing a radically redesigned core screen that will be more visually engaging for users. In a press release, Sputnik states that the new screen will feature a vertically scrolling feed that will be more aesthetically pleasing.
“We are thrilled to unveil our new and improved core screen,” said Sputnik CEO Boris Ivanov. “We understand that scrolling through your music library can be tedious, so we are excited to offer our users a more engaging experience.”
The new core screen will feature album art in a more prominent position, giving users a sneak peek into what they can expect from their playlists. The scroll bar will also be updated with new visual cues, making it easier for users to navigate through their music library.
“We really took a deep dive into the psychology of scrolling,” said Sputnik’s Chief Designer, Natasha Romanov. “We found that users prefer a visually rich experience, so we made sure to include high-quality images and graphics that will dazzle and delight.”
The redesign is expected to launch next month and will be available to all Sputnik users. In the meantime, users can expect to receive a notification from the app, letting them know that the update is on its way.
As for what users can expect from the future of Sputnik, the company remains tight-lipped. “We have some exciting projects in the works that we can’t wait to share with our users,” said Ivanov. “But for now, we hope they enjoy this fresh new look for their music library.”
