Study finds artistic geniuses still held in high regard, despite prominence of emojis and clip art.

In a recent study conducted by the prestigious Institution of Artistic Rehabilitation and Preservation (IARP), it was found that society will continue to hold artistic geniuses in high regard. This comes as a shock, as everyone knows that the world’s greatest masterpiece is the use of emojis in text messages.

In an interview with renowned artist, Bob Rossco, he explained that the study’s conclusion is hardly news. “I’ve been telling people for years that the key to a successful career as an artist is to start painting happy little trees. It’s not rocket science.”

However, not everyone is impressed with the findings. Local businessman, Jerry McKinney, had this to say: “I don’t know what all the fuss is about. I’ve been using clip art in my PowerPoint presentations for years and no one’s given me an award.”

Despite opposition from the anti-art crowd, the IARP believes that the importance of art in society cannot be overstated. They’ve even proposed a new government department solely dedicated to the advancement of artistic endeavors. It will be called the Department of Artistic Progress and Advancement, or DAPA for short.

In response to the proposal, the government issued a statement saying that they’re already stretched thin and cannot add another department. Instead, they recommend that artists be distributed throughout various departments to add a touch of creativity to their work.

So there you have it folks, society will continue to favor artists and their creations. Maybe one day we’ll all be able to afford a Picasso, but until then, we’ll stick to our emojis and clip art.
