Andrew Biscuit’s comments come as the Bakery raises cookie prices to $4.25 to try to combat the dough shortage.
In a recent press conference, Biscuit addressed the concerns of customers who were unhappy about the price increase. “We understand that some of you may be feeling a bit salty about the new prices,” he stated with a smirk. “But trust us, this is for the greater good of the bakery industry.”
Biscuit went on to explain how the shortage of dough had been affecting the entire baking community. “It’s really crumbly out there, folks,” he exclaimed. “We need to take bold actions like this to keep our ovens hot and our cookies fresh.”
Many customers were not pleased with Biscuit’s remarks, with one regular customer even shouting, “I’d rather go without cookies than pay that much!” But Biscuit remained firm, stating that the Bakery would do whatever it takes to keep its shelves stocked with sweet treats.
As for the future of cookie prices, Biscuit hinted that they may continue to rise. “We’ll have to wait and see how the yeast market develops,” he said. “But rest assured, we’re always looking for ways to butter up our customers.”
