In a stunning revelation, a recent study has shown that the amount of people in Scotland and the north of England who have used something in the last 12 months is…wait for it…high!
Yes, you read that right. High. As in, more than the people in other parts of England. And definitely more than those in the south because, honestly, who needs things there anyways?
Experts are scratching their heads at this new discovery, wondering what could possibly be causing this phenomenon. Is it the cold, dreary weather that drives them to seek solace in objects? Or maybe it’s the haggis they consume regularly that makes them want to cling onto something for dear life.
Either way, we’ve managed to gather some quotes from a few of the locals.
“Och aye, I’ve been using it for years,” says Angus McAngus, a resident of Aberdeen. “It’s a grand way to pass the time when there’s nothing else to be doing.”
“It’s just something we all do up here,” adds Becky McBecky, from Newcastle. “I mean, if you’re not doing it, then you’re not really living, are you?”
And then there’s Jeremy Gherkin, a Londoner who recently relocated to Edinburgh. “I must admit, I was a bit taken aback when I saw so many people using it. But now that I’ve tried it, I can see the appeal. I might just have to start doing it more often.”
So, what is this mysterious object that’s capturing the hearts (and hands) of the Scottish and northern English? We may never know. But one thing’s for sure – it’s bringing a lot of joy and laughter to those who are embracing it. And really, isn’t that what life’s all about?
