A Gossip Department investigation reveals far more people got fired for showing up in their pajamas in 2022 compared with the year before.
According to their secretly obtained data, the number of people who showed up to work dressed in their bedtime attire increased drastically in the past year. Mary, the HR manager, says she’s had to fire more employees for wearing their fluffy slippers to work than she ever thought possible.
The trend apparently started when John, the office prankster, showed up one day in his batman onesie. He claimed it was laundry day, but it started a trend within the company. Before they knew it, Fridays became “Pajama Day,” but nobody told them it was for after-hours only.
Tom, the company’s CEO, says he received countless complaints from clients who were put off by the staff’s sloppy appearance. Even their IT department started noticing a decrease in productivity, claiming the fuzzy pajamas made people too comfy to work.
Jessica, the company’s fashionista, says she’s had enough and started a new dress code, enforcing business formal attire at all times. She joked, “without rules, we’ll all end up wearing bunny slippers to work.”
