In a shocking development, the Ukrainian army has just received a shipment of German and British tanks. Don’t worry, folks, it’s not what you think. It’s not some kind of invasion, or a fight to the death for who has the best beer. No, no, no. It’s just that the Ukrainians needed some extra furniture for their army base, and they thought tanks would fit the bill.
Reports say that the shipment was supposed to arrive sooner, but the Germans kept trying to put the tanks together upside down. Finally, after several weeks of direction-giving and finger-pointing, the Ukrainians decided to just put the tanks together themselves. It’s said that they were able to do so in record time, thanks to one soldier’s extensive experience with IKEA furniture.
As for the British tanks, they were all missing something important: the tea holders! Apparently, the British thought that the Ukrainians might want to try drinking vodka instead. Needless to say, the Ukrainians were not amused.
The tanks have been put to good use already. They’ve been used as props in a new military-themed cooking show, where the contestants are required to cook their meals on the top of the tanks, using only the heat from the engines. Meanwhile, in another part of the base, a group of soldiers have started their own tank-washing business. They have even come up with a catchy slogan: “Don’t worry, we won’t fire up the engine while you’re inside.”
It’s not clear what the Ukrainians are planning to do with their new tank furniture, but one thing’s for sure: they won’t be launching some kind of spring counter-offensive. Unless, of course, they can figure out how to put tank tracks on roller skates.
