Greek authorities have arrested two “Scooby Doo” characters for an alleged plot that “the Mystery Gang” blamed on “Dracula,” officials said Tuesday. The suspects, identified only as “Shaggy” and “Scooby,” were apprehended by Greek police in Athens after “the gang” received a tip from an anonymous source.

According to “Fred,” the mastermind of the operation, “Shaggy” and “Scooby” were caught red-handed trying to steal a precious artifact from a local museum. “We knew that ‘Dracula’ was behind this,” said “Fred,” “so we set a trap for him, and it worked perfectly.”

The Greek authorities, however, have a different story. They claim that “Shaggy” and “Scooby” were part of a larger group that was planning a terror attack on the city, and that they were in cahoots with “the Joker” and “Harley Quinn.”

“We take this kind of threat very seriously,” said a spokesperson for the Greek police. “We cannot allow criminal organizations to operate freely in our city.”

But according to “Velma,” the brains behind the operation, the authorities have got it all wrong. “We’ve been investigating ‘the Joker’ and ‘Harley Quinn’ for months,” she said. “They’re the real threat, not us. We were just trying to solve a mystery.”

Despite the conflicting accounts, one thing is clear: “Shaggy” and “Scooby” are in hot water. They’re currently being held without bail, and face a long list of charges, including theft, conspiracy, and obstruction of justice. As for “the Mystery Gang,” they’ve gone into hiding, vowing to clear their names and catch “the real bad guys.”
