In a shocking turn of events, the Federal Reserve has been slammed by a group of Senators for failing to prevent the collapse of Silicon Valley Bank. The Senators, who were not named, could not stop laughing over their witty puns.
“It’s ridiculous!” exclaimed Senator Bobo. “They knew about the risks, but they did nothing! What a flop!”
Senator Sassy added, “I mean, come on, Federal Reserve! You’re supposed to be regulating these banks, not neglecting them until they collapse like a house of cards!”
In response, the central bank’s top regulator, who goes by the name of Reggy McRegulator, blamed the bank’s executives for not fixing the issues. “If they had done their jobs properly, this would never have happened,” he stated sternly.
However, Senator Silly retorted, “Oh please, Reggy, we all know who’s really to blame here. It’s the aliens! They’re the ones messing with our banks!”
At this point, the room erupted into laughter, with even the normally stoic Reggy joining in. “You got me there, Senator Silly,” he chuckled. “I guess we’ll have to add ‘alien interference’ to our risk assessments from now on!”
