In a shocking turn of events, the city’s police chief revealed that investigators are currently going through evidence left by a notorious suspect known as “Audrey Hale”, including some scribblings in a book.
Sources say that the book is reportedly filled with hilarious jokes, witty puns, and some questionable drawings that could potentially help the police with their investigation.
“Every time we read something new from this book, we just can’t help but burst into laughter,” said Detective Johnson. “We never knew a suspect like Audrey Hale had such a great sense of humor.”
Some of the jokes reportedly include: “Why did the tomato turn red? Because it saw the salad dressing!” and “What do you get when you cross a snowman and a shark? Frostbite!”
Although some may argue that these jokes are unfunny and juvenile, the police department has even released a statement saying that they have been enjoying the book immensely.
“We take our jobs very seriously, but that doesn’t mean we can’t have a good laugh every once in a while,” Police Chief Smith said.
The investigation is ongoing, but based on the evidence found in Audrey Hale’s book, detectives are confident that they will be able to apprehend the suspect in no time.
“This just goes to show that you can never underestimate the power of humor,” said a police spokesperson. “Who knows, maybe our next suspect will have a knack for stand-up comedy!”
