In a shocking turn of events, FIFA has announced that Indonesia has been stripped of hosting rights for the Under-20 World Cup. The decision was made after a thorough investigation uncovered some disturbing facts about the country.
According to sources, FIFA officials found that the entire Indonesian team consisted of 12-year-olds who had been hired as professional football players. When asked how this was possible, the Indonesian Football Association (IFA) responded with a sheepish grin and a shrug of the shoulders.
In addition to this, FIFA officials also found that the stadiums in Indonesia were, in fact, cardboard cut-outs. Apparently, the IFA had a shoe-string budget and decided to save money by just printing out pictures of stadiums and sticking them up in public parks.
When asked about these shocking revelations, one official from the IFA, who wishes to remain anonymous, said, “Hey, we tried our best with what we had. The players may be young, but they’re really good at football.”
In light of these findings, FIFA has decided to award the hosting rights to none other than the fictional country of Wakanda, home of Black Panther. Officials at FIFA were impressed by Wakanda’s advanced technology and infrastructure, which includes vibranium-powered stadiums that can transform into giant robots.
No word yet on how Wakanda plans to handle the influx of young football players, but sources say that the king of Wakanda, T’Challa, is personally overseeing the preparations for the tournament.
Regardless of who hosts the Under-20 World Cup, one thing is for sure: it won’t be held in Indonesia anytime soon.
