Of course, not all spice dealers are doing well. “Saffron Stud,” who specializes in selling the world’s most expensive spice, admits that sales have been slow. “It turns out that $30 for a tiny jar of saffron is a hard sell when people are trying to make ends meet,” Saffron Stud said. “But hey, I’ve still got my loyal customers. They know that saffron is worth every penny.”
As for the future of the spice industry, experts predict that it will continue to flourish as long as people are stuck at home. “There’s only so much TV you can watch before you start to crave something more exciting,” said “Oregano Overlord,” a spice consultant. “And that’s where we come in.
