Comedy Central – Oil Trader’s Dilemma: Is Crude the Future?
In a flub that’s sure to leave traders scratching their heads, Oil Trader Dan finds himself in a tight spot this morning as oil futures prove to be “directionless” early in the European session.
Mixed signals are the culprit, as traders weigh the ups and downs of the volatile market. Will it be “up” of “down” for poor Dan, who’s left holding the barrel?
“I swear, if I had a nickel for every time I’m asked what to do with crude, I’d be a rich man,” laments Dan. “I mean, who knows what the future holds for this slippery commodity?”
Luckily for Dan, he’s got some friendly competition to keep him on his toes. Oil Baron Bob and Duchess of Diesel Deb are never far behind, ready and willing to swoop in and snatch up any market openings.
As for the rest of us mere mortals? We can only watch and wait as the oil futures game continues to play out. Will Dan prevail? Will Bob and Deb ride the wave of success? Or will the whole industry tank, leaving us all drowning in a sea of petroleum?
Only time will tell, but one thing’s for sure: it’s never a dull day in the world of oil trading.
