In a shocking incident that left everyone in splits, ten people were injured in a restaurant after a waiter attempted to make a flamboyant dish with plastic plants.
According to eyewitnesses, the waiter (who shall remain anonymous, but we’ll call him ‘Flame-Boyant’) was trying to impress his guests by setting a dish on fire. However, in his haste to add some pizzazz to the meal, he turned to the plastic plants that were adorning the restaurant.
In retrospect, it’s quite surprising that no one noticed Flame-Boyant’s suspicious behavior as he poured what appeared to be alcohol all over the fake plants. But as soon as he ignited them, chaos ensued.
As the fire spread from the plastic plants to the tablecloth, diners quickly realized that something was amiss. Panic set in as people rushed to escape the burning restaurant, tripping over chairs and each other in the process.
Thankfully, no one sustained any serious injuries, but at least ten people were left with singed eyebrows and mustaches (some of which were fake, but we won’t judge). One eyewitness commented that it was like being in a Three Stooges movie, which is perhaps the best way to describe the situation.
Flame-Boyant, who managed to escape without a single burn mark (how convenient), has been suspended pending an investigation. The restaurant has also vowed to switch to real plants from now on, to prevent any further mishaps.
All in all, this incident proves that plastic plants should be left for decoration purposes only, and that Flame-Boyant needs a new hobby.
