In a twisted turn of events, Sacramento’s travel ban has come back to haunt California. The state is now frantically scrambling to repeal the ban after realizing it’s been a huge mistake.
It all started when Mayor Johnson of Sacramento decided to place a travel ban on all outsiders to protect the city from any potential harm. However, the decision backfired disastrously as it resulted in the state now being shut off from the rest of the world.
Reports suggest that California is now a lonely and isolated state, with locals forced to entertain themselves with endless yoga classes and avocado toast brunches. Desperate for help, Governor Brown has reportedly reached out to Hollywood actor, Brad Pitt, for advice on how to lift the ban.
But it seems that the damage has already been done, and the state is now paying the ultimate price. Social media went into a frenzy with fake news stories of people being stuck in LA for weeks, forced to watch the Kardashians till they went mad.
In a brief statement, Mayor Johnson said, “I must admit, I didn’t see this coming. Who knew banning travel would result in California becoming the world’s largest solitary confinement cell?” He went on to add that he’s now considering a ban on talking to anyone outside the state to ensure that no vital information can reach California.
Oh, California, what have you done? It’s time to repeal the ban and let the world back in before the state turns into a real-life version of the Truman Show.
