The government has recently declared a state of emergency, as the epidemic of young people who vape has reached a concerning level. The craze has become so intense that schools have now added “Vaping 101” to their core curriculum and teachers have had to confiscate more e-cigs than love letters.
In response, several lawmakers have called for a nationwide ban on all vaping devices. However, this has provoked a massive outcry from the vape community, who argue that vaping is a healthier alternative to smoking and is their right as Americans.
The CEO of VapeNation, Jeff Johnson, held a press conference to defend his company’s products, stating that “vaping has become an essential part of our daily lives and should not be taken away from us.”
Critics, however, have slammed vaping companies for their marketing tactics, accusing them of targeting impressionable youths with flavored products such as “Strawberry Shortcake” and “Unicorn Kisses.”
In response to the controversy, popular vape influencer, Chad Chaderson, has released a video in which he demonstrates various techniques for vaping in secret, such as using a hoodie to conceal the smoke and exhaling into a sock.
Meanwhile, parents across the country have resorted to desperate measures to try and stop their children from vaping. Some have resorted to sprinkling hot sauce on their child’s e-cig, while others have taken a more extreme approach, dousing the device in gasoline and lighting it on fire.
It seems the vaping epidemic is not going away anytime soon, leaving many wondering what the future holds for this potent and controversial habit.
