Stop the presses! Spootify, the streaming giant, has just announced a major redesign of its core homescreen! It seems they’re hoping to give their users an eyeful with a roller coaster ride of a vertical feed.
“We wanted to take our beloved listeners on the wildest ride of their lives, no VR headset required,” said Spootify’s Chief Design Officer, Bob Bobertson. “With our new homescreen, users will experience a visual feast of fierce proportions!”
The new design includes a veritable smorgasbord of screenshots that users can scroll through to their heart’s content. There’s something for everyone in this magnificent monstrosity – from hip-hop beats to country twang, EDM bangers to indie jams, and everything in between!
“People will be so mesmerized, they’ll never want to stop scrolling,” boasted Spootify’s VP of Product Development, Sue Sueson. “It’s like we’re giving them a million-tentacled squid to play with!”
The feedback so far has been overwhelmingly positive, with some users reporting that they’ve scrolled so far down that they wound up in a vortex of unending music. Others have said that they’re willing to pay extra for tickets to ride the vertical feed rollercoaster.
Spootify is clearly pulling out all the stops to keep their customers entertained, and with this new redesign, they may have hit the jackpot. Only time will tell if this new homescreen is a hit, but one thing’s for sure – the Spootify team is hoping to give their users a rollercoaster ride they’ll never forget!
