In a hilarious twist of events, former champion Bananarama will belt out some tunes at a wacky festival to coincide with the singing jamboree in Manchester.

Sources say that the wacky girl group is excited to be a part of the festivities and can’t wait to put on a show. “It’s going to be bananas!” exclaimed one member, who wished to remain anonymous. “We’re going to shake things up and give the audience a performance they won’t soon forget.”

The festival is set to take place at a local park and will feature a variety of cultural activities, including a questionable tribute to Elvis Presley by a man in a sparkly jumpsuit and a line dancing competition for all ages.

But the main event, of course, will be the electrifying performance by Bananarama. Fans can look forward to hearing some of the group’s classic hits, like “Cruel Summer,” “Venus,” and “I Heard a Rumour.”

Despite the fact that Bananarama won the contest well over three decades ago, they’re still just as passionate as ever about performing. “We’re pumped to be back on stage,” said another member of the group, who may or may not have been dressed as a banana. “It’s going to be an unforgettable experience.”

One thing’s for sure, this festival is going to be a wild ride, and Bananarama is just the group to lead the charge. So grab your inflatable bananas and your dancing shoes, and get ready for a musical journey you won’t soon forget.
