In a shocking revelation, US officials have identified the culprit behind the leaking of sensitive intelligence files as none other than Jack Teixeira. However, Teixeira denies all allegations, claiming that he was simply sharing “fun facts” with his buddies over a game of poker.
According to sources close to Teixeira, he has a habit of blurting out random pieces of information at inappropriate times. “We were just minding our own business, playing cards and drinking beer, when Jack started telling us about the CIA’s secret bunker in Antarctica,” says his friend, who wishes to remain anonymous. “We were all like, ‘Dude, shut up! You’re going to get us all in trouble.'”
Teixeira’s other friends also attest to his tendency to overshare. “One time, we were at a bar and Jack started telling everyone about how he hacked into the Pentagon’s mainframe,” says another friend, shaking his head. “I think he just likes to sound impressive.”
The US government, however, is not amused. “Leaking sensitive intelligence files is a serious offense,” says a spokesperson for the Department of Justice. “We will not tolerate individuals who put national security at risk for their own amusement.”
Teixeira, for his part, maintains his innocence. “I don’t know what they’re talking about,” he says. “I was just telling some jokes. If they can’t take a little humor, that’s their problem.”
Whether or not Teixeira is truly to blame for the leaks remains to be seen. But one thing is for sure – he should probably keep his fun facts to himself from now on.
